W Nugget’s Cowgirl Up (Triple S Nugget x Papp’s Blue Ribbon)

Nugget’s Cowgirl Up is an incredibly sweet-natured, very athletic daughter of the late World Champion Reiner, Triple S Nugget. She is also a half-sister to World Champion reiner, W Nugget’s Rebels Are We and her dam, Papp’s Blue Ribbon, was fourth in the 1995 NMRHA Derby. In addition to a strong presence in the western disciplines, Triple S breeding has produced multiple champions in dressage—most notably through Blackwood Correll.
We were very fortunate to purchase Cowgirl from her breeders, Tom and Travis Fillpek of Westernesse Morgans and she has settled in nicely in her Oregon home. Not a small feat after spending eleven years in Wisconsin. We sincerely thank Tom and Travis for selling us such a lovely mare.
As would be expected from her breeding, Cowgirl naturally works off her hindquarters and has a balanced, powerful canter. Her trot mirrors the best aspects of her canter: power, balance and expression. The first video (below) shows her early western training at Westernesse Morgans. The second is some “fun” round-pen games here in Oregon.
Cowgirl has given us six foals so by our stallion, Gladheart Black Harris: three fillies (Gladheart Jory, 2014, Gladheart Celtic Cadence, 2017 and Gladheart Bracken, 2021) and three colts (Gladheart Siletz, 2015, Gladheart Obsidian, 2019 and Gladheart Chinook, 2022). Without exception, they are very, very smart and love to interact with their people and their environment.
