Gladheart Trillium (Gladheart Black Harris x Whippoorwill Oakesia)
Gladheart Trillium (2022; Gladheart Black Harris x Whippoorwill Oakesia) is yet another exceptional individual from the Black Harris/Oakesia cross. A combination that has given us three previous outstanding individuals (Gladheart Harmony, Gladheart Shaniko and Gladheart Serenade) and “Tilly” fits right in that list.
This is an elegant, leggy filly with a sweet personality. She is correct, with a balanced way of moving. As with her siblings, Tilly is a cross of performance-proven blood lines. Tilly’s mother, Whippoorwill Oakesia, is from a dam line that has produced two Grand Prix dressage horses (Whippoorwill Dorado and Whippoorwill Ebony) through both Oakesia’s dam, Whippoorwill Larissa, and her grand dam, Whippoorwill Locket. In addition, Oakesia is linebred to Blackwood Correll, one of the top sirelines of FEI dressage Morgans as well as the sire of two multi-time Morgan national reining champions: Whippoorwill Newmoon and Painter’s Pine Ridge.
Add to this, that Tilly is the daughter of our FEI dressage and Nationally Ranked Working Equitation stallion, Gladheart Black Harris, it is easy to see why this filly is a keeper for our program.
As Tilly is a broodmare-prospect, her primary job will be to continue to grow and mature. She looks to be an exciting next step for us!
