Gladheart Bracken (Gladheart Black Harris x W Nugget’s Cowgirl Up)
Gladheart Bracken (2021) is a chestnut mare by our stallion Gladheart Black Harris out of the World Champion Reiner Triple S Nugget daughter, W Nugget’s Cowgirl Up. As would be expected, this mare is athletic, personable and loaded with talent.
Bracken is a great blend of both parents. Her trot is expressive and cadenced, and her walk and canter are correct and well suited to sport. She is correct, with a strong topline, open shoulder angle, lovely hip, and a well-sprung barrel to take up leg. It is hard to fault this mare in movement or conformation!
Dallas McLarney Bolen/Sunchaser Morgans in Hermiston, Oregon, has done a wonderful job with Bracken. Bracken went to Dallas to be started and has return to us as an experienced trail horse, trained to drive and well-started in the basics of dressage (and even tried a show or two to get experience in the “big” world). She has also been competed in combined driving.
Our plan is breed Bracken in 2027 and evaluate her as a broodmare, but we are equally excited to get a solid saddle horse back home to enjoy.
