Mossrose Miss Montana (Whippoorwill Newmoon x Mossrose Ysabella)

As the last filly from the 1994 and 1995 Morgan Grand National Reining Champion Whippoorwill Newmoon, this 2020 filly is a granddaughter of Blackwood Correll who is a strong presence in two Grand Prix Morgans as well as multiple Morgan reining champions.  “Tana’s” dam, Mossrose Ysabella, is by Montana Harvest, who was the 1996 Reserve Morgan Grand National Reining Champion, 1995 Open Reining Champion at Billings, Montana and is a great-grandson of Blackwood Correll.  To say this filly has a solid, proven sport pedigree would not be an understatement.

Tana comes from a program (Mossrose Morgans/Jane and John Pietenpol) with strong connections to  our mutual friend, the late Mary Jean Vasiloff (Whippoorwill/McCulloch Farm).  Tana is a strong, althletic, trainable filly who enjoys being with people and worked.

Recently, we have decided to take a different path for our program, which includes reserving Gladheart Trillium as a future broodmare prospect.  So, we are offering Tana for sale to a new home. Athletic and with a good mind, she would be an excellent addition to any breeding program, as well as has the potential to be a talented sport horse (we think she would be a great fit for Working Equitation).
