Gladheart Lyric (Whippoorwill Newmoon x Rogue’s Midnight Melody)
Gladheart Lyric (Whippoorwill Newmoon x Rogue’s Midnight Melody) is a 2004 mare from proven sport horse lines. A full sister to Gladheart Sonata, she carries the same strong performance lines from their sire, Grand National Reining Champion Whippoorwill Newmoon and his 3/4 brother the Grand Prix Morgan Whippoorwill Ebony. Lyric is also a half-sister to both our stallion, Gladheart Black Harris and our own Grand Prix gelding, Gladheart Linhawk.
An elegant mare, Lyric has a sweet, friendly disposition and “can-do” work ethic. She had one foal for us (Gladheart Madrone by Rogue Hills Woodsman), but her real career seemed to be as a saddle horse.
Lyric is our daughter Elizabeth’s horse and the two of them have been to dressage shows, out on the trail, and even to the Oregon coast. In 2013, they were the Oregon Dressage Society’s League Jr/YR Champions at Intro A/B. Once in a while, Elizabeth let’s her mother or friends take her horse for a spin in lessons or for fun.
A long time ago, Lyric had been offered for sale, but it soon became obvious that her home was supposed to be with us. And we are very glad she is.
